Welcome to the EUSTaCEA Charter & Guide Wiki! Developing a European Strategy to Combat Elder Abuse against Older Women This Wiki was created for the DAPHNE (EUSTaCEA) partners
What is a wiki?
A wiki is a page or collection of web pages designed to enable anyone who accesses it to contribute or modify its content. Wikis are often used to create collaborative websites. The collaborative encyclopedia Wikipedia , for instance, where readers can adapt and edit each entry, is one of the best-known wikis.
What about our wiki?
In our case, all the DAPHNE (EUSTaCEA) project partners can use this wiki to develop the European Strategy to Combat Elder Abuse against Older Women, and work together on the texts of:
>> The European Charter on the rights of older people, and women in particular, who are dependent on a family member or carer, or are need of long-term care or assistance. >> The Implementation Guide or ‘toolkit’ that will address each of the rights expressed in the Charter, explaining what they concretely mean. It will refer to practices from across Europe, to show readers how each right can be protected.
How does it work?
This wiki should be simple to use. As you start developing your own contribution to the strategy, you add your draft text to this website. Other partners will be able to read what you have written, and make comments and suggestions to help you. Likewise, you will be able to see how the others are progressing, and contribute to the development of their sections too.
It is also possible for any of the partners to edit any part of the strategy (you can even edit this page if you want to!). It's rather like working on a Word document, to which all of the partners have access, all of the time. Together, we will all be able to see how the Charter and Implementation Guide are evolving, and how well the various sections fit together. And we will be able to comment on-, adapt or edit the texts at any time.
Getting started To work on the European Charter or Implementation Guide, click on one of the large headings at the top left hand side of the screen , and then follow the instructions that you will find at the top of the new page.
